No need to drive far

 To go to the two markets i enjoy going to i wanted to start a market close to home here in Gois. Along the way there had been meeting and then the local Council had to have meetings. The day came when i received an email saying the market could go ahead that was for the 3rd of September great. No it was not great i had done lots of advertising only to find the Council agreed but not the location of my choose.

Quickly i had to inform everybody i could of the new location but we got started and a nice sunny day.

Well it's now month two and with 8 days to go the Council gave permission to move to the site that i first wanted. With signs up showing the way to the new market it should turn out to be a good day.

Next thing is to get permission for a Christmas market a week before Christmas. About the 18th December but it's a Sunday but a day when more people are off work. I think i may have time to plan for the Christmas market for posters and leaflets the guy in the internet cafe is amazing at design.

 

I went to the shop for Oscar

 It's been my dream to have some Oscar fish and today it came true. While i was in Coimbra today i went to the only tropical fish shop that i know of. The picture below is of a type of fish called Oscars or in Latin Astronotus ocellatus. 

When buying fish it's best to see them in the shop tank and see that all is ok with them. I selected two that had the red colouring on there bodies but not as vivid as the one in the picture.

My two are stressed after the journey home and in a day or two i can get pictures as they will be.

The one below is really stunning and as mine grow they will hopefully look as good as this one.

Someone found me and i wasn't lost

 On Thursday i was sat in my lounge working when i saw a lady walking up the lane. I greeted the lady only to find that she was English and not lost. Being in the area and after reading my Blog she wanted to see if she could find meand both her and her husband found me.

It was so good to have company and to sit and have a nice talk, some days if i don't go out i may not have someone to talk to.

My friends are looking round Portugal in the hope of finding there piece of Heaven like i did,

In the next village round from me a friend is in the middle of buying a house that needs some work. For my friend who have been a builder most of his working life the task is just more of what he has done in his working life. 

It seems that my new friends come from almost the same place outside of Dover in the UK. What a great coincidence.

That night we met up at the Maytay in Gois the one thing we have in common is wanting a simple peaceful life i found mine.

I will look forward to hearing how this story turns out in the not to distant future.

i LEFT OFF POSTING BECAUSE

 It's now about 4 months that i haven't posted and to be honest it's because i have been avoiding comments from my siblings.

This is over i have missed posting about my life here in Portugal so from today i am back  ant tomorrow the 23rd of September i will be posting regular again i have so much to say.

Today i am preparing to start to  package 25 kilo of fine and course  Himalayan pink salt and that's only the start.

The next markets are the first weekend of October and there is so much to get ready.
