My Dads wallet

Before I returned to Portugal I was able to go to the Leather company to get my Dads wallet back. When I went to pick it up I asked for a price I had to pay, because of the history I was told they wanted nothing as it was an honour. It was a honour because of the history behind the wallet that had seen three invasions during WW2.

It would have been wrong of me to take wallet for free so we agreed a price and I hope we where both happy I certainly was. From the first time I met the crew at Leathergraft to when I left with my Wallet they where great to deal with. They spent time with me examining what need to be done with the wallet and assured me they where more than able to do the repair needed.

I am pleased to have put a link on the left hand side of my Blog screen should you have any reason to have a query regarding Leather the just click the link it may just be they are the people for you.

To Steve and the crew Thanks.

A little visitor

I have just been out on my veranda to look at my Orange and Lemon trees that I missed while I was in the Liverpool. My Orange trees this year look great but there seems to be very little fruit starting to grow.

While looking at my smaller tree I saw a little visitor a small Ladybird. This is the first one I have seen this year and my Ladybird is welcome to stay.

Proud to have helped

A couple of days ago I was able to help with the install of a glass splashback system in a house not far from Liverpool.

This is a picture of the Liverpool Skyline taken in the evening. When it was finished and the owner came in to see his new kitchen there was a tear in his eyes and he admitted he was lost for words. He did say that he never could imagine from the image he first saw that his kitchen would be this good.

I was proud to be able to say I helped create this effect in this kitchen. Pity I live so far away from
Liverpool or I would have something like this. The machine that does the printing I am told cost £120,000.

Well ready to go

It's only a couple of days now to my return home. Sometimes I have made up a box to ship over with a collection of things I need. This time I have three boxes and I am having to leave some things because I couldn't get empty boxes big enough to fit a length of steel bar 800mm X 50mm. This steel bar is to increase the height of my pillar drill. I have two tools for using with my Lathe and also a Lathe to bring home.

All these and more things I will wait and drive over maybe September but only for no more than a week. Apart from driving over I don't intend to fly over to Liverpool till next year I have had more than my fair share of being away from home and it's now time to spend some time in my own home and my own bed.

Paint shop nearly finished

Now I don't know what " Thank Ghana " means but the text I wrote about the Spray booth I have just built is all gone. I suspect I have been hacked for some reason so I will come back to this in a few days now my work is finished.
